Big shout out to Craft Ontario who took leadership around the national branding project – Re-Materializing Craft – and have secured $300,000 in funding from Canadian Heritage.

This project will enable the Craft Ontario, in partnership with the Canadian Crafts Federation/Federation canadienne des metiers d’arts (CCF/FCMA), all provincial and Territorial Crafts Councils and sector partners, to develop a national branding strategy that deepens the public understanding and appreciation of Canadian craft, while creating professional development opportunities for craft makers in local places and spaces in Ontario.

So here in BC our first job is to secure our contribution to the project, which is about $20,000, so I guess I better get proposing!!!
