Have you heard of Play it Forward? Now in its second year, the Play it Forward campaign video contest is designed to bring together creative and non-profit communities to help make Metro Vancouver a better place to live. Cineworks Independent Filmmakers Society has commissioned 10 pairings of film makers and organisations to collaborate on producing a campaign video, professionally and engagingly capturing the spirit of each organisation involved.
We are so excited to share that the Craft Council of British Columbia is pairing with Tomo Suru Films on this project! The Tomo Suru team are still hard at work on the video but we are all excited to share a few shots from filming done at the studio of Stefanie Dueck recently.
It has been such a valuable experience to have the opportunity to share our story through video and to also connect with the film making community. A big thanks to Cineworks and Telus Optik for this great opportunity and also to the team at Tomo Suru Films for being so creative, professional and fun to work with.
The finished videos will be screened at Pacific Cinematheque in a free public event March 21st, 2015 and will also be available for free on demand on the TELUS OptikTM TV. We can’t wait to see the other videos and share ours too!
