2016 Vancouver Summer Market

You may have heard that the Vancouver Summer Market has been cancelled – it hasn’t – at least not yet! As you may know for the past 3 years we have partnered with Circle Craft to produce this unique opportunity for craft artists. As a charitable organization we are able to secure the Jack Pool Plaza for an in-kind donation from Vancouver Convention Centre of $50,000. Circle Craft used their experience in market production to produce the show. The organizations split the profit generated by the market, allowing CCBC to use these monies, as directed by the CRA, towards our charitable purpose of supporting craft artists in developing all aspects of their artistic practice.

CCBC would like to continue to produce and improve on the Vancouver Summer Market in 2016. Unfortunately, due to miscommunication with the Vancouver Convention Centre we won’t know until February 4th if we are able to secure the space for the market. I will be letting our members and past participants know by February 5th whether the market will be going ahead. So, if you were interested in participating in the 2016 market please consider waiting until next Friday before making other plans.
