The Canada Council for the Arts is conducting a public consultation, including an online survey. We greatly encourage you to take part in this online survey, and to share it with others!
The survey will influence the Canada Council’s decision making process not only in the development of their new strategic plan, but also in the budgeting of any new funding that is assigned to the Council from the Federal Government. (A doubling of the Canada Council’s budget has been promised by the Liberal Government, but no new funding has been confirmed as of yet.)
The survey focuses on the Council’s new funding model, and the importance placed on various aspects of this model’s structure. As you may already know, the new funding model does not focus on medium-specific streams, but rather on the outcomes and purpose of proposals. Therefore, it is important to consider not only that craft requires support in this new model, but what types of funding will benefit the craft sector (for example: touring, creation, research, etc.).
It takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and can be found here:
The deadline for completion is February 11th, 2016.
