This three-dimensional body of work explores interpretations of human and animal heads in the form of masks, head and bust sculptures. Depiction of human and animal heads has been a significant theme in art since its very beginning. Indigenous spiritual masks, mystical heads of Egyptian and Mesopotamian gods, realistic classical Greek portraiture, and abstracted art of 20th century and many other historical periods, styles and movements have inspired the artist to experiment with her own interpretations of this fruitful theme.
