Amy Li-Chuan Chang

Amy, Li- Chuan Chang received a BFA from The Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2007. She was awarded a full scholarship for the 2007 summer session at the Penland School of Crafts, USA. In recent years her work has been selected for several international ceramic juried exhibitions, such as the NCECA 2007, USA; Taiwan Ceramic Biennale 2008, Taiwan, and Mino International Ceramic Competition 2011in Nagoya, Japan. She has shown her ceramic works in numerous galleries in Vancouver, including the BC Gallery of Ceramic , Richmond Art Gallery, and the Crafthouse gallery. she is now a studio artist and set up studio at home.
Amy prefers to experiment different techniques and style. One thing important is that the concepts of her work are always related to various social phenomenons. She always presented her work with humor and vivid colors, these approaches are hints for audience to discover the under lying meaning in her work.
