Jenny Judge Glass Dog Studio
Region: Vancouver Coast & Mountains
Jenny trained as a sculptor and received an MFA from the University of Minnesota in 1992. She has worked in many different materials such as clay, fibre and craft-installation. It wasn’t until she moved to New Zealand in 2004 that she was introduced to Kiln Cast-Glass and learned the basic methods and techniques of the lost wax process.
In 2012 she moved back to Canada and co-founded the ‘Mountain Objectmakers Cooperative’ in Whistler, BC where she now has the facility for full-time Kiln casting. Her work is heavily influenced by her moves made between New Zealand and Canada: the feelings of transition, the love of landscape, and the strength of location. Jenny has shown her work in both solo and group exhibitions in New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Korea, Japan, France, and the U.S.A.
