Louise Perrone is a Vancouver based jewellery artist whose wearable objects are rooted in the tradition of metalsmithing, textiles, and the textile techniques historically associated with women’s work. Perrone studied Sculpture at Nottingham Trent University and became a qualified Teacher of Art and Design at the University of Brighton. She immigrated to Canada to study Jewellery and Metals at Alberta College of Art and Design and was awarded the Governor General of Canada’s Academic Medal upon graduation. Her work has been exhibited across North America and Europe. She is an instructor in the Jewellery Design program at LaSalle College in Vancouver and President of Vancouver Metal Arts Association.
