Debra was self-taught 1973- 79, attended VAS 1979-1982, and ECUAD- for her BFA in 2004. She taught clay sculpture 1991/2013 at Shadbolt Centre, and at MISSA 2012/13. She has served and adjudicated for the CCBC, Circle Craft, PGBC, NWCF Boards and has adjudicated for Filbert Festival, Sunshine Art Gallery and the Sydney Art Exhibition. She has presented at symposiums; Malspina, Canadian Clay, the Master’s, the 9th in Cluj, Romania, and the Leach Pottery. Her work is represented in 6 LARK 500 Publications. Debra exhibits internationally. Awarded the Circle Craft Scholarship and BC Arts Council Visual Arts for a 2010 International Ceramic Studio residency in Hungary, she returned in 2013. In 2014, Debra was awarded a FUSION Scholarship – residency at the Leach Pottery, had a solo exhibition at the Gallery of BC Ceramics, and was represented at SOFA in Chicago. In 2015 she will have work at the UNICUM Exhibition, Slovenia.
