Sophie Bouy is a ceramic artist working and living in Vancouver. She produces functional ware out of stoneware and porcelain, either wheel thrown or slipcast. Sophie has a background in industrial design and graphic design. She started working in ceramics when she moved to Vancouver from Toronto in 2013.
artist statement
My aim is to create ceramic pieces that people want to hold and use in their daily lives. I like to make quiet pots and focus on form more than decoration.
