artist statement
Inspired by archeological artifacts, I strive to create unique jewelry that looks ancient yet modern, raw yet sophisticated, bold and delicate, in which the ancient and modern worlds meet.
All of my work is hand-fabricated by me through all stages of the jewellery making process, with each piece being one of a kind.
Gold accents symbolize the essence of the piece. Stones are used to add a drop of color and in my ‘Old Town’ pendants they represent the sun or the moon.
My miniature artworks depicting old towns are inspired by the charming places I have visited, or would like to visit. Engraving tiny bridges, buildings, roofs, windows, feels like a special kind of traveling. I strive to create poetic work filled with tenderness and a dose of hidden nostalgia.
