about
Linda Shea is a jewellery artist from Delta, B.C.with a background in drawing, ceramics and stained glass which was a prelude to designing jewellery. Her jewellery career began with an evening course at Vancouver Community College in 2011 which sparked her interest. Her formal training includes a diploma in Jewellery Design from Lasalle College, graduating with high honours. Since then she has dedicated herself to honing her craft, taking further courses in stone setting, enamelling and investing countless hours of practice.
Her jewellery, a blend of modern and traditional design, often incorporates organic textures, clean lines, and colourful gemstones. She works primarily with silver, occasionally with gold, and employs traditional jewellers tools to create each piece. A commitment to ethical sourcing and environmentally friendly practices underpins her work, along with her love for nature, animals, and plants. Her work is showcased through Arts New West, the Anna Kristina Boutique, and Ladner Village Market, where she presents limited production and one-of-a-kind pieces
Linda is a member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths, the Craft Council of B.C., and Vancouver Metal Arts, continuously exploring ways jewellery can convey connection, transformation, and meaning.
artist statement
Jewellery has a profound history, shaping identity and reflecting the beauty of the world around us. For me, jewellery is both a personal journey and a way to inspire others to reimagine themselves. As a blend of traditional and modern, my work explores the natural textures, organic forms, and geometry found in nature. Colour is added using gemstones, enamel, and patina. Each piece conveys a connection to the natural world, using responsibly sourced materials and crafted with meticulous attention to detail. I find joy in how jewellery allows us to wear a story, a piece of art, and a touch of nature.
