about

Madeleine is mostly self-taught. She has been making “things” since her earliest recollection, her grandmother teaching her to knit before going to kindergarten. She has attended many workshops over 40 years as a craftsperson, and has taught many workshops too. She was in fibre in the 70’s, and in metal from the 80’s until now. She has exhibited in Japan and France, had one person shows in Toronto, Montreal, and Comox, BC, and owned a gallery in West Vancouver for 10 years. She now works in her home workshop employing two helpers one day a week.

Madeleine’s jewellery collection consists of bracelets, pins, earrings, necklaces, and small sculptures.
