Marija is a Canadian artist and educator. She studied Fashion and Costume Design at Art University of Belgrade, Serbia and furthered her education in the US, achieving MFA degree in Theatre Arts. She has an impressive design career spanning over two decades with many awards and nominations to her name. Her work has been a part of many renown international exhibitions. Jewelry is an important facet of her artistic opus and her full time focus over the past 10 years.

In my jewellery work, I strive to walk the fine line between the raw and sophisticated, modern and timeless while creating statement pieces.
My inspiration stems from the intersection of the polished, man-made structures and the nature slowly re-claiming them. In our world of filters and augmented reality, I am looking for beauty in fine lines and crevices left by the natural aging process of both objects and living things.
