The Craft Council of British Columbia presents The Earring Show, an exciting juried exhibition and sales opportunity for contemporary, designer-makers producing wearable art in a whole host of mediums.
The exhibit highlights examples of earrings in every shape, size, material and concept, made by artists from around the world. Furthermore, The Earring Show also provides a space where the public can engage with art jewellery for the first time, or to add to their collection.
categories
- One-Of-A-Kind: For unique, one-of-a-kind designs. One of a Kind category is for earrings that unique in all aspects so there is only one of them. Artists are invited to submit 3 earrings that are unique in design.
- Prize: Barbara Cohen Prize
- Limited Edition: For artwork produced in a limited run. Limited Edition category is for earrings in which the design is replicated: the earrings in the series can be exactly the same or; they are the same design but in different colours or; sometimes they are the same design but in different materials. Artists are invited to submit three limited editions designs and can submit up to 3 copies of the each of these designs for sale for a total of 9 sets of earrings.
- Prize: a 2-month Featured Collection the CCBC Online Shop
- Emerging Artist: For artists currently enrolled in a craft-based program, or who have graduated from a craft program or started making within the last 2 years. Submissions can be One of Kind or Limited Edition.
- Prize: Lacy West – $250 in supplies
