The Craft Council of BC (CCBC) is excited to introduce The Ornament Collection, a festive fundraiser and curated exhibition celebrating the art of making ornaments. Launching in the holiday season, this annual event will showcase a dazzling variety of handcrafted ornaments created by artists from across British Columbia. The Ornament Collection will run from November 24th, 2026 – January 6th, 2027.
Join us in celebrating the season and the creativity of BC artists with a dazzling display of handcrafted ornaments — from traditional to wildly imaginative, in every medium. Each piece supports contemporary craft and local makers.

about the ornament collection
The Ornament Collection offers an opportunity to challenge artists to create new imaginative designs from all mediums. Traditional and creative interpretations of ornaments are welcome.
This collection is not only a celebration of creativity but also an important fundraiser for CCBC to continue supporting contemporary craft. Proceeds go towards CCBC’s year-round work of supporting material-based artists all across BC.
categories
- Production Pieces: Ornaments that can be reproduced in large batches or are part of a series. These designs should reflect a high standard of craftsmanship and creativity while being consistent in form. Artists are invited to submit up to 5 different designs for production pieces with a total of 20 – 30 pieces.
- One-Of-A-Kind Pieces: Unique, one-of-a-kind ornaments that are distinctive in all aspects — concept, form, and material. Artists are invited to submit up to 5 ornaments that are entirely original.
