The Craft Council of BC presents the exhibition: Interiors: Emerging Artists Explore life at Home featuring the ceramic and silver jewelry work of Cory Yeung and Shonny JI. Transforming the CCBC gallery into our most personal and intimate of spaces: the household, these artists reveal that home serves as a metaphor for our private yearnings and deepest desires. Join us on February 15th for this exploration.

The idea of the “dream home” or the “perfect house” embodies the human desire to possess not only shelter, but also a place of contentment and respite. However, the manner in which we define this space is often a projection of what we most lack in our lives.  Do we long for a space that gives us a cocoon-like safety enveloping us within the white walls of an uncomplicated life? Or, do we desire a space where our imagination can run wild, where we can explore hidden talents and private desires?  Is our fantasy abode the embodiment of the affluence and status, which we have long coveted?  In the exhibition Interiors: Emerging Artists Explore life at Home ceramic and jewelry artists Cory Yeung and Shonny JI delve into the house as a metaphor for our deepest desires.  Join us on February 15th for this exploration.
