artist statement
Drawing inspiration from archaeological artifacts, I create one-of-a-kind silver jewellery accented with gold, blending ancient and modern aesthetics, the raw with the sophisticated, and the bold with the delicate, into timeless beauty.
My pieces are made of sterling silver and many are accented with small touches of 18K gold, which symbolize the heart and spirit of each design. I also use Keum-boo, an ancient Korean technique of applying 24K gold foil to silver, adding a layer of warmth and richness to my work.
A unique part of my work is the creation of miniature scenes inspired by old towns I’ve visited—or dream of visiting. Depicting tiny buildings, windows, rooftops, and bridges with the addition of a small stone to represent the sun or the moon allows me to bring these places to life in a way that feels intimate and nostalgic. I aim to infuse each piece with a sense of poetry and wonder, capturing a fleeting moment in time and creating a world where everything is connected in a quiet, beautiful way.
