Amy Li- Chuan Chang received a BFA from The Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2007. She was awarded a full scholarship for the 2007 summer session at the Penland School of Crafts, USA. In recent years her work has been selected for several international ceramic juried exhibitions, such as the NCECA 2007, USA; Taiwan Ceramic Biennale 2008, Taiwan, and Mino International Ceramic Competition 2011in Nagoya, Japan. She has shown her ceramic works in numerous galleries in Vancouver, including the BC Gallery of Ceramics, Richmond Art Gallery, and the CCBC gallery. She is now a studio artist and has a studio set up at home. Amy prefers to experiment with different techniques and styles. One important thing is that the concepts of her work are always related to various social phenomena. She always presents her work with humor and vivid colors, and these approaches are hints for audiences to discover the underlying meaning in her work. |

Amy Li Chuan Chang Biography Born and raised in Taiwan , Amy Li Chuan Chang obtained her bachelor of business degree from Tank Kung University Taipei, Taiwan before she moved to Canada. After Amy settle down in Vancouver she completed the Studio Art Diploma in Capilano university in 2003 , and received a BFA from Emily Carr Art & Design University in 2007. From there Amy began developing her own ceramic language. In recent years Amy have exhibited solo and participated in group exhibition in Vancouver area and overseas. Her works have been selected into national and international competitions , such as 2021 solo exhibition at Yingge Ceramics Museum, Taipei Taiwan, 2024 & 2019 bronze award in the world teapot competition, Yixin, China , 2018 Bronze award in Salt Spring Island Ceramic competition, BC, Canada.
