about

I’ve been quietly making pots on and off for the past 50 years. I grew up in the Abbotsford area and was able to work with a local potter, Herman Venema, who encouraged my interest. My training took me to Georgian College in Ontario where I studied with a British potter, Roger Kerslake. After art school, I returned to BC and made pots full time for a number of years. While our kids were growing up I worked at Greenbarn Potters Supply for 20 years. After the kids finished high school, I started making pots again.
We currently sell through farmer’s markets in the lower mainland area, as well as some retail outlets.

artist statement

All my pottery is made by hand on the wheel in our workshop. All the work is dishwasher and microwave safe. Glazes are made from scratch by hand, and they are lead-free and food safe. We make a small range of items, with lots of variety in glazes. Most of my work is fired in a gas kiln to cone 10. I believe in supporting local business, so I buy my clay and materials from local suppliers.
