Deanna works in a variety of mediums that include printmaking, photography, painting and fibre art. Her work is an exploration in colour and pattern informed by natural and urban spaces. Interpreting these visually stimulating sources to her inspired creations is one way Deanna celebrates the world around her. Deanna finds dying silk a most satisfying medium for the expressive richness and the luxurious wear-ability. For most of her life she has worked with textiles and continues to explore the creative potential there in combining her fine art skills to this fibre medium.
Spring 2013 Deanna completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) degree from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She continues to create in her home studio located in the city of Surrey.
