artist statement

It is only through the process of working with the idea and materials that I develop the final form. Much depends on my mind space, the objects and materials selected, and how they merge together. The techniques ultimately used will flow out of all these combined elements.  I work mostly with mixed media; 2D or 3D, combining nature’s treasures and ephemera collected from different places in combination with her hand dyed or printed paper or cloth and sometimes metal pieces. I take moments from life and weave them into stories which are conveyed through assemblages, collages and book works.
