Michele Goyns has always enjoyed making things with her hands, taking raw materials and transforming them in to something beautiful, thought provoking or simply fun. A lifelong student, she is always exploring new art forms and forever growing her long list of creative pursuits. After experimenting in many mediums over the years, she found her true passion in metalsmithing, with a focus on jewellery. Michele’s jewellery is ever evolving, with each new collection reflecting her desire to challenge herself and push the boundaries of her craft. This desire to continually grow as a craftswoman led her to the Jewellery Art and Design Diploma Program at Vancouver Community Collage, where she is currently in her final semester. After graduation, she plans to establish herself and her business in this industry, while remaining dedicated to further developing her skills and experimenting with non-traditional mediums in jewellery making. When Michele isn’t in the studio, you can find her in the mountains and forests of her home in North Vancouver, either on her mountain bike or hiking alongside her dog, Sonny.
