Wendy McKim Murphy was born in Montreal and grew up on the North Shore of Vancouver, British Columbia. Wendy studied fine arts at Concordia University in Montreal, the University of BC, and Emily Carr University. She has been working in papier mache since 1990. Her work has been shown at the Canadian Craft Museum, Vancouver Public Library Special Collections, The Dog’s Gallery in Los Angeles, The Flying Pig Gallery in Algoma, Wisconsin, CCBC and Circle Craft on Granville Island in Vancouver, BC, and at Crafthouse at the Vancouver International Airport and is in private collections all over the world. She takes commissions for any subject, specializing in animals and portraits of pets. Wendy lives and works near Granville Island in Vancouver, BC. |
