Western Living’s Designers of the Year Awards are now open, offering a dedicated Maker / One-of-a-Kind category that celebrates the kind of work our community creates. This category recognizes thoughtfully crafted, one-off pieces across a wide range of mediums, including ceramics, glass, fibre, textile, metal, wood, and more—ideal for makers whose work exists outside traditional design categories. Applicants are invited to submit three to five projects, with work completed within the past eight years eligible for consideration. Selected winners will be featured in Western Living magazine and showcased online and across social media, providing an excellent opportunity to share your work with a wider audience across Western Canada.
