this season's featured work

debra sloan

Debra created this collection of sculptures for our collectors. These pieces are representative of her work inspired by Dosojins. These pieces are one-of-a-kind and exclusive for the Collector Society.

michael hamilton-clark

This custom jewellery box is hand-turned by Michael Hamilton-Clark in Chilliwack, BC. It features a custom stained ring holder to keep your jewellery organized, and is available only to our subscribers.

a curated surprise

The third piece is curated from our consignment collection. This allows you to give us some direction as to your tastes and collection, and we’ll find a piece just for you.
Our featured artists have been asked to create work exclusively for the Collectors Society.
The work you receive as a subscriber can’t be purchased anywhere else.

Debra has an exceptional resume, having her award-winning work featured internationally and decades of expertise as a ceramics instructor and juror.

Debra draws upon the imagery of women, babies, and various animals to represent the interconnectivity between the human and natural worlds. Over time, her figures have transformed into what she refers to as “proto-human.”

Michael is a self-taught wood turner currently working in the Fraser Valley.

He mostly uses locally available woods from felled trees, branch trimmings, and mill offcuts.

“Whilst I generally have an idea of what a piece is to be, the actual shape often appears to emerge as if it was there, waiting to be released.”
